Dealers Like Me allows you to benchmark your dealership’s performance against other similar dealerships across a number of metrics. Your dealership cohort is based on a variety of data dimensions and is aggregated at a yearly average level.
These dimensions include in no specific order:
Number of employees by department
Available inventory by make
Sales
Number of phone calls
Website traffic
To facilitate meaningful comparisons, dealerships' performance metrics are analyzed using distance metric calculations. This approach enables the measurement of similarity or dissimilarity between individual data points. A critical consideration is that mere click volume differences can greatly impact the outcome. For instance, a dealership that experiences a fivefold increase in Tier 1
clicks compared to Tier 3 clicks may not be comparable to another dealership with a more even distribution across both tiers. The resulting cohorts typically consist of anywhere from six to twenty dealerships, depending on the degree of similarity among the data points.
Smaller dealerships will typically not be grouped with larger dealership groups and geography is not currently not factored into any comparisons.
All cohorts are kept anonymous, meaning you will not be able to see what dealerships you are being benchmarked against, and similarly other dealerships cannot see your information.
